Pickleball Lessons

Interested in learning more about Pickleball and how to play? We provide 3 lesson levels.

For all lessons:

  • Running shoes are not permitted; court shoes are mandatory for safety reasons.
  • Eye protection is strongly advised for safety.
  • Please bring your own Pickleball Paddle if available; otherwise, one will be provided for you.
  • Our goal is to assist you and make sure you're at ease with all the necessary components of the class. Please reach out if you require further support.
  • The cost of lessons is charged per individual, and classes may include other participants.

Beginner Level 1

The 90-minute lesson begins with a 30-minute introduction to Pickleball, covering Safety, Equipment, Terminology, Court Layouts, Positions, and Scorekeeping. The material covered here can be downloaded by clicking the button below.

In the subsequent hour, we'll expand on the initial topics and focus on the game's fundamental aspects. Participants will learn the correct techniques for executing a dink, serve, return of serve, and the third shot drop, along with basic game strategies. If you own a paddle, please bring it; otherwise, you may borrow one of our limited spares. Remember, court shoes are mandatory for play!

Group Lessons (4 Students - $20 per person)
Private Lessons (1 Student - $50)

Please note, students are also responsible for any court reservation fees in addition to the lesson cost.

Level 2

Advance Beginner Level 2

PREREQUISITES for this 1-hour class: Participants must have completed the Level 1. Attendees should be playing on a regular basis and have begun to use the skills discussed in Level 1 lessons including dinking, third shot drops, deep serves and returns during their recreational games. Participants need to be hitting these shots with at least 50% accuracy before signing up for these lessons. We will also work on proper positioning on the court and strategies of when and where to hit each shot. We'll work on the Third Shot drop as well as making and defending the lob shot.

Group Lessons (4 Students - $20 a person)
Private Lessons (1 Student - $50)

In addition to the lesson fee, the student(s) will be responsible for the cost of any court reservations.

Our goal is to give our young players the best possible introduction, instruction, and training so they may become the best athlete and Pickleball player they can be. Whether they become the next number 1 in the world or just a happy, active, lifelong player, we want to be part of that journey.

The emphasis with children should always be about safety, fun, developing personal values and character. Pickleball should be introduced as a lifelong sport, with the ability to have fun, keep us healthy and fit for life. Of course, teaching proper fundamentals and the appropriate skill progressions

Our Instructor, Mitch Rose

Mitch is a level 1 and Junior Certified International Pickleball Teaching Professional (IPTPA).

To achieve the Junior Certification, one must participate in the IPTPA Junior Certification Workshop, undergo a background check, and succeed in an online examination. As IPTPA Junior Instructors, our aim is to assure parents and guardians that their child will be in a secure setting and supervised by adults during their lessons.

All Junior Lessons follow the guidelines of Shape America (Society of Health and Physical Educators).
